SENATE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION NO. 12

Requesting the Division of Highways rename the East Street Bridge
in Parkersburg the "William P. A. Nicely Memorial Bridge".
Whereas, William P. A. Nicely contributed many years of public
service to the citizens of the City of Parkersburg and Wood County;
and
Whereas, William P. A. Nicely served three terms as Mayor of
the City of Parkersburg and as a member of the West Virginia House
of Delegates; therefore, be it
Resolved by the Legislature of West Virginia:
That the Legislature hereby requests the Division of Highways
rename the East Street Bridge in Parkersburg the "William P. A.
Nicely Memorial Bridge"; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Division of Highways is requested
to have made and be placed, at either end of the bridge, signs
identifying the bridge as the "William P. A. Nicely Memorial
Bridge"; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Clerk of the Senate is hereby
directed to forward a copy of this resolution to the Secretary of
the Department of Transportation.
